Salient Engineering

Our workshop is situated at Plot No. 4721 in Gidc-3, Dared, right by the Lalpur Bypass in Jamnagar. It’s a bit of a different scene here compared to the bigger cities. Being near the bypass means we get a lot of wind and dust coming off the road throughout the year. We do engineering work at Salient Engineering, mostly focused on parts and assemblies that people in the local industries need. The shop is filled with lathes and drills. It’s a loud place when we’re in the middle of a big job. We don’t have a receptionist or anything like that. If you come by to see us, you’ll probably find one of us under a machine or leaning over a workbench. We’ve been at this plot for a while, and the neighborhood is mostly other engineering shops like ours. We all help each other out when someone is short on a specific tool or needs a hand moving something heavy. The climate in Jamnagar can be pretty harsh, so we try to do the heaviest work in the cooler hours. We don’t have a mission statement or a fancy philosophy to show people. We just try to make things that don't break. If a customer is happy with the work, they usually come back, and that’s how we’ve stayed in business. It’s just us, the tools, and the metal on most days.
