Madhav Kirana General Store

Madhav Kirana General Store is our family shop located at 4-7-14/1 in Shivajinagar, Attapur. We have been here for many years, serving the people who live in the surrounding streets. It is a typical local store where you can find just about anything you need for your kitchen or home. We have big bins of grains, stacks of soap, and rows of bottled drinks. The space is quite tight because we try to fit as much stock as possible onto the shelves. Sometimes you have to squeeze past a crate of eggs or a bag of onions to get to the counter. My family and I run the shop together, and there is usually one of us here from early morning until late at night. We don't use any fancy technology for our accounts, just a pen and a paper book. Attapur is a busy place, and we get a lot of foot traffic throughout the day. We know which neighbors like which brand of tea and who usually comes in for a snack in the afternoon. The shop has a large door that stays open to the street, so it can get a bit dusty when the wind blows and the trucks go by. We don't mind the hard work because it is our way of making a living. We just try to keep the staples in stock so nobody has to go far for their groceries. It is a simple, honest business.
