Shree Rajhans Engg. Works

Down at Plot No. 1513 in Phase-3, that’s where Shree Rajhans Engg. Works is set up. It’s an engineering shop. You can expect to see a lot of grease, metal shavings, and heavy tools lying around. We’ve been in Vatva long enough to remember when some of these roads weren't even paved properly. The shop floor is where most of the life happens. We start early. We are usually here before the rest of the GIDC estate really wakes up. This helps us get a head start on the machining work. It gets hot in there. This is very true in the summer months, but we have some big industrial fans that help a little. Each of us has our own station. We mostly keep to ourselves while the machines are running. There is a specific smell to an engineering works like ours. It is a mix of oil and hot metal. You get used to it after a couple of days. We don't have a big marketing team. There is no one here to write fancy brochures for us. What we have is a lot of experience. We also have the right tools for the jobs we take on. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish a project. The whole plot feels different under the evening lights. It’s quiet then. The only sound is our own work. It’s a solid way to make a living. We just keep our heads down and finish the task.
