Illam Heritage

If you walk down Chittoor Road, you’ll find us at No. 41/1869. Illam Heritage is basically us looking after this place and making sure everything stays in order. It’s an old building, so there is always something that needs fixing or cleaning. One day it’s a leaky pipe and the next it’s a creaky floorboard that won't stop making noise. We spend a lot of time just keeping the dust away and making sure the atmosphere stays right. Living and working on Chittoor Road means we see a lot of people passing by every single day. It’s a central spot, so it never really gets quiet until very late at night. We don’t have a massive staff or anything. It’s just a few of us who know the building inside and out. We try to keep things simple and honest here. It’s not a modern glass tower; it’s a place with some history and some quirks. Sometimes the walls need a new coat of paint, or the garden needs a bit of weeding after the rain. We just take it one day at a time. People come in and out, and we do our best to make sure the place feels welcoming without being too fussy about it. It’s just a regular part of the neighborhood, and we like it that way. We aren't looking to change much, just keeping the doors open.
