Shalimar Metro

We are located right near the South Railway Station here in Cochin. It’s a busy spot, always people coming and going from the trains. Shalimar Metro has been around for a while now. Most days it’s just us making sure the rooms are ready and the guests have what they need. You can hear the whistles from the station sometimes if the wind is right. It isn't a fancy place with lots of gold on the walls, but it’s practical for someone traveling through. We see a lot of people who are just here for a night before catching an early train. The traffic outside can get a bit much during rush hour, but that is just how Cochin is. We try to keep things simple. If you walk out the front, everything you might need like a tea shop or a small store is just a few steps away. We spend a lot of our time just managing the day-to-day stuff, checking people in and out. It’s a lot of work keeping up with the cleaning and the maintenance, but we get it done. We’ve grown used to the noise of the city. Sometimes people ask for directions to the main market or the water, and we help out. It's just a regular local business trying to do things right for the folks who stay with us. We aren't part of any big chain, it is just our own small place near the tracks.
