Machining Work

We are located at H No 7-4-302 in Geeta Nagar, which is right in the Ferozguda part of Balanagar. The shop is called Machining Work, and it’s pretty much exactly what the name says. We have a few lathes and some old milling machines that take up most of the floor space. It’s always noisy here because there is always some piece of metal being cut or drilled. The air smells like oil and burnt shavings. We get people coming in from all over Balanagar with parts that are broken or need a bit of smoothing out. Sometimes it’s a small bolt that needs a new thread, and other times it’s a big heavy piece of an engine. We don’t have a big front desk or a waiting room; you just walk in past the machines and talk to whoever isn't busy at the moment. Our hands stay dirty from the grease, and there’s usually metal dust on everything. Geeta Nagar is a busy neighborhood, so we try to keep the noise down in the evenings, but during the day, we’re at it. We’ve been at this address for a long time now. It’s not a corporate factory, just a local shop where we know how to handle the tools we’ve got. We take the jobs as they come and try to get them out the door as fast as the machines allow. Even when the power cuts out, we find something to do.
