Palash Colours Pvt. Ltd. is situated at Plot No. 483 in Phase-2 of Gidc. Working with colors means that by the end of the day, there is usually some pigment on our clothes or shoes. It is just the nature of the business. The plot is quite large, giving us enough room to store different batches without them getting mixed up. We have several large mixing vats that run for most of the day. The sound of the motors is the background music to our lives here. Phase-2 is a bit quieter than Phase-1, but it still has plenty of trucks moving through. We have a small garden area near the gate that we try to keep green, though the industrial dust makes it hard. Inside, the walls have some color splashes on them, which we think gives the place some character. Our office is just a simple room with a couple of ledgers and a computer that is a few years old. We spend a lot of time checking the shade cards against the actual product to make sure things are right. It’s a lot of manual work and standing on your feet, but we are used to it. We don't use any big words to describe what we do; we just make colors at Plot 483.
