Budhist International School

Budhist International School is located in the Camp Area of Gadchiroli. If you know the MDG area, you can find us pretty easily. Gadchiroli is a place with a lot of trees and a quieter pace of life compared to the big cities. Our school reflects that. We have a simple building where we hold classes for the children from the surrounding areas. The name says international, but we are very much a local school rooted in this community. We have teachers who really care about the kids and they spend a lot of time making sure everyone understands the lessons. The classrooms are basic with desks and chalkboards. We have a playground where the children spend their energy during the breaks, and you can hear their shouting and playing from quite a distance. It’s a peaceful spot, mostly. We deal with the usual stuff like keeping the water tank filled and making sure the roof doesn't leak during the monsoon. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment, but we have enough for the kids to learn what they need. Working here in the Camp Area means we see the same faces every day and we’ve gotten to know the families well. It’s just a regular school doing its best in a quiet corner of Maharashtra. We take things one day at a time and focus on the kids.
