SUPREET TIMBERS

You will find Supreet Timbers over on Saharanpur Road, which is pretty much the main hub for wood around here. We are located right near the Aggarwal Dharam Kanta, so it is hard to miss us if you are looking for the timber market. The yard is always full of stacks of wood, and the ground is covered in sawdust and wood shavings. It’s a very physical job. We spend our days measuring planks and helping people pick out the right kind of timber for their doors or furniture. I usually have a pencil tucked behind my ear and a tape measure in my pocket. The saws we use are old but they still cut straight, even if they make a lot of noise. We get all sorts of people coming in, from big contractors to guys just looking for a single piece of wood to fix a shelf at home. When it rains, the whole place smells like wet earth and pine, which I actually quite like. We don't have a fancy office or a website with pretty pictures. We just have the wood and the tools to cut it. It’s a dusty environment and my shoes are always ruined by the end of the week. We’ve been part of this market for a long time and we just take things one order at a time, making sure the wood is good and the cuts are right.
