Sadaram Somnath Bricks Company is tucked away in Mustafabad, right near the Hafed Godown. If you know the Thana Chhapper area, you probably know where the godown is, and we are just a short distance from there. It is a quiet enough spot compared to the main city, but we stay quite active. We have a small crew of people who have been with us for a long time. We mostly just focus on making sure we have enough stock ready for whoever stops by. It is honest work, and it’s been the same routine for years now. We wake up early to beat the heat and get as much done as possible before midday. The yard can look a bit messy sometimes with all the stacks of bricks, but there is a system to it that only we really understand. We don't have a website or anything like that, we just rely on people knowing where we are. In Vpo- Thana Chhapper, word travels fast, so we just try to do our job right every day. Sometimes the rains make the ground soft and hard to move around on, but we manage. We aren’t looking to become a giant corporation. We just want to keep things running steady so we can support our families and stay part of the community here. It’s just us, the bricks, and the open air out by the godown.
