Katodia Computers & Jewellers

Katodia Computers & Jewellers is located on Bus Stand Road, right near the Iti Chowk. It might seem like a strange combination to have computers and jewelry in the same place, but that’s just how we ended up doing things. My brother knows everything about the electronics and I handle the jewelry side of the business. We’ve been at this spot for several years now. Being near the bus stand means we get a lot of people just passing through who stop in to look at something while they wait for their next ride. It’s a busy area and the noise from the buses is something we’ve just learned to ignore. The shop is divided into two sections. On one side we have the glass cases for the rings and necklaces and on the other side we have the monitors and keyboards. We don't have a big staff, just the two of us and a nephew who helps out in the afternoons. Sometimes we have a lot of repairs to do on the computers which keeps us late into the night. Other times it’s quiet and we just sit and talk with the neighbors who drop by for a chat. The lighting is a bit bright because we need to see the small parts but it makes the shop look lively from the street. We don't have a fancy website or anything like that, just a sign on the road. We just try to do honest work every day and keep the customers happy.
