M/S Jawantri Engineers

We're out in Jagadhri, over in the Behal Ghran area. Our spot is 966/C-3. If you know the 135003 pincode area, you know it’s mostly industrial and busy. We are engineers, but don't expect us to be wearing suits. Usually, we're in work clothes because things get messy. We do a lot of technical work, fixing machines or designing parts for local shops. It’s a small operation. My brother and I took over from our uncle. The workshop is right there, and it’s loud most of the day. Jagadhri is famous for its metal work, so we fit right in. We’ve got some old lathes and a few newer tools we bought last year. Sometimes the parts take forever to arrive from out of state, which is frustrating. We don't have a receptionist, so if the phone rings and we're at a machine, it might take a minute to answer. It’s just how it goes here. We aren't a big firm from the city; we’re just local guys who know how to build and repair stuff. We keep our records in big handwritten books because that’s what we’re used to. It's an honest living. We don't make big promises we can't keep. If a job is too big, we say so. If we can do it, we just get on with it. The neighborhood is noisy, but we like it that way. It means people are working.
