Subrata Singha

I run things from House No. 108 on A.K. Road. It’s right by the Golchakkar in West Tripura. My name is Subrata Singha and this is my small business. It’s not a big corporate office; it’s basically part of where I live and work. The area is quite lively with people moving around the circle all day. I’ve been here for several years now. Most of my day is spent talking to customers and handling paperwork or stock. It gets a bit crowded in the office sometimes when we have deliveries coming in. Tripura is a beautiful place, but doing business here has its own set of challenges. Logistics can be tricky. I don't have a team of secretaries or a marketing department. It’s just me and a couple of helpers. We do what we can to make sure people get what they asked for. Sometimes I stay up late finishing orders or checking the books. It’s a lot of responsibility when it’s your own name on the door. I’ve grown to know the shopkeepers on A.K. Road quite well. We help each other out when we can. It’s a local way of doing things. No fancy mission statements here, just trying to earn a living and keep the customers satisfied. If you’re ever near the Golchakkar, you’ll likely see me out front. It is a simple life but it keeps me very occupied every single day.
