Down here in Ungutur Mandal, life moves at its own pace. Our place is over at C/O Ramakrishna in Chebrolu, which is a spot most people around here know well. Working with food means we are always busy with something, whether it’s checking the bags or making sure the floors are scrubbed. It gets really hot in the afternoons, so we usually try to get the heavy lifting done early in the morning before the sun really hits. We are just a group of local folks mostly. We don’t have a big corporate board or anything like that, just a few managers who are usually on the floor helping out anyway. The West Godavari district is a good place for this kind of work because everything we need is close by. We’ve had some slow years and some very busy ones where we barely had time to sit down. Most of the staff walks or bikes here from the nearby villages. We share lunch together most days, usually whatever people brought from home. It’s a simple setup, but it works for us. We focus on the daily tasks and try not to get too stressed when a machine breaks down or the delivery is late. You won’t find any marble floors here, just a lot of people working hard to process everything correctly. It feels like a big family most of the time. We just keep our heads down and keep the machines running until it's time to head home.
