Otto-Agn International Ltd. is located out in Peravali Mandal, which is a bit of a drive if you’re coming from the bigger towns in the West Godavari district. Being out here means things move a little slower than they do in the city, but we still have plenty to keep us busy every week. The shop floor is where most of us spend our time. It’s a large space, and sometimes the birds get in through the high windows and nest in the rafters. We’ve got some heavy machinery that’s been with us for a while, and they have their own little habits you have to learn to get them to work right. Like the way the old drill press vibrates if you don't hold the lever just right. We handle a lot of local stuff, and since we're in the district, we see a lot of people who know us by name. It’s not a corporate environment at all. We wear our work clothes until they’re worn out, and there’s always a bit of grease on the door handles and the tables. Sometimes the power goes out in the middle of the day and we just have to sit and wait for it to come back on before we can finish up. It gives us a chance to sit outside on the bench and talk about things other than metalwork. We just do our bit here in Peravali, keeping the machines running and making sure the orders are ready when the transport arrives at the gate for pickup.
