Yash Child Clinic

We are over at R-47 in Inderpuri, which is right near the State Bank building. It’s a child clinic, so you can imagine it gets pretty loud and energetic here during the day. We have some colorful stickers on the walls and a box of toys to keep the little ones busy, though the toys usually end up scattered all over the floor. The waiting area is often full of parents holding babies or trying to chase toddlers around. Inderpuri is a dense neighborhood, so there is always a lot of activity on the street outside our door. Inside, the clinic is divided into a few small rooms for checkups. We have a scale for weighing the kids and those wooden sticks for checking throats. It’s a simple operation where we spend the day dealing with coughs, fevers, and the usual childhood stuff. The noise of the traffic from the main road filters in, but the sounds of crying or laughing children usually drown it out. We keep a stash of lollipops or stickers for when a kid has been brave during a shot. The furniture is basic because it needs to be easy to wipe down. We’ve been here at R-47 for a good while now, and we see the same families coming back as their kids grow up. It’s a busy, somewhat messy, but very real part of the local community.
