Wadhwa Enterprises

Our little place is tucked away in Gali Rajan Khan, right near Kashmiri Gate at number 486/18. It is not a very big shop, but we have been here for a long time now. The street is always packed with people and carts moving back and forth, which makes things a bit hectic in the mornings when we are trying to open up. We don’t really have a big staff, just a couple of us who know where everything is kept on the shelves. The wooden shelves go all the way to the ceiling and are mostly filled with different types of hardware and small machine parts. It gets quite dusty because of all the traffic outside, so we spend a bit of time every morning just wiping things down before the first customer shows up. We don't bother with fancy displays or any of that marketing stuff. People come to us because they know we usually have that one specific bolt or tool they can't find anywhere else. Sometimes the neighborhood kids play in the alley right in front while we are working. It is a noisy area with the sounds of the market all around, but you get used to it after a while. We take a break for lunch when the sun is high and usually get some food from the tea stall around the corner. We aren't trying to be the biggest business in Delhi, just a steady one that helps out the folks who come through our door. That’s how we have always run things here.
