The Real Tea

The Real Tea is tucked into the ground floor of Pratik Apartments, specifically at Plot Number 8/6 in Paschim Vihar. Being near the petrol pump means there is always a steady flow of cars and scooters zooming by. We see a lot of people who are just stopping for a quick break while they wait for their tanks to get filled. The apartment building itself is mostly families, so we get to know the residents quite well over time. The shop is small but we keep it tidy. There is a specific smell of brewing tea that stays in the air all day. We have a little window that looks out onto the street. Paschim Vihar is a crowded area, so things are never really quiet. We deal with the usual city stuff, like the sounds of horns and the occasional rain that makes the pavement slippery. Our daily routine is pretty much the same every week. We arrive, check our supplies, and get the water going. The apartment security guards often come over for a cup during their breaks. It is a practical little space. We don't have any big signs or bright lights, just the name on the door. It is a good spot for people who live in the block to just walk down and get something hot. We have a few chairs inside if anyone wants to escape the sun for a few minutes. It stays busy through most of the afternoon.
