Our office is up on the second floor at L-58 in Tilak Nagar, right in the New Mahavir Nagar area. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs, but it’s quieter once you get inside and shut the door against the street noise. There is always a lot of paperwork on the desks, mostly forms and files that need sorting through. We spend most of the morning drinking tea and going over numbers for people who walk in. It can get a little cramped when a few people show up at the same time, but we manage. The view from the window is mostly just other buildings and the tops of cars parked below. We try to keep things organized, though sometimes the files pile up faster than we can put them away in the metal cabinets. It's mostly just us sitting at the computers and talking on the phone with various offices. People from the neighborhood know where we are. It’s not a big corporate space, just a regular workplace with a few desks and a fan that clicks a bit too loud. Sometimes we go downstairs to get a snack from the local stalls during the afternoon slump. Dealing with money and papers takes a lot of patience, and that’s what we do here every day. We don't have fancy decorations, just the essentials for getting the work finished before we head home in the evening. It’s a steady kind of life, really, just handling the daily tasks and helping folks out.
