Sj Kesar Company

Dealing with saffron is a bit different than other businesses. We are Sj Kesar Company and we operate out of Uttam Nagar B-153, over in Mohan Garden. It is a busy area and the streets are always full of people. Our place isn't anything special to look at from the outside. Inside, it smells very strong because of the kesar we keep in stock. We spend a lot of our time sitting at a small table, weighing things out on a digital scale. You have to be precise because every little bit counts. It’s quiet work, mostly. My brother and I run things here. We don't have a whole bunch of employees or a big warehouse. We just keep our stock in the back room and handle everything ourselves. Sometimes the deliveries get delayed because of the traffic in Uttam Nagar, which can be a real headache. We aren't looking to become some huge international brand or anything. We just like what we do and we want to keep the family tradition going. Mohan Garden has been our home for a long time, so it made sense to set up the business here. We don't spend much on advertising. Most people just find us through word of mouth. It's an honest way to make a living, even if the work is a bit repetitive. We just try to be fair and do right by the folks who buy from us.
