Shri Guru Nanak Engineering Works

Our shop is at Wz-59 in the Khayala area, right near Tilak Nagar. If you know this part of Delhi, you know how crowded and lively it can get. We have been operating out of this small space for quite a while as Shri Guru Nanak Engineering Works. It’s an engineering workshop, so we have lathes and welding machines taking up most of the room. It gets pretty hot inside during the summer months, especially when we are doing a lot of welding work. We do all kinds of repair jobs and custom metal work for people in the neighborhood. Often, someone will come in with a broken part from a machine and ask if we can fix it or make a new one. We don't really have a formal way of doing things, we just look at the problem and try to solve it with the tools we have. The noise from the street outside mixes with the sound of our grinders. Tilak Nagar is a busy place and we fit right in with the other small businesses around here. My brother and I usually handle most of the work ourselves. We keep the shop open until late most nights because there is always one more thing to finish. It’s not a fancy place by any means, but we have everything we need to work with steel and iron. We just like fixing things and seeing them work again.
