We’ve been here at 35 Uttam Nagar for a while now. Most days it’s just us sitting around the desks at Nawaz Actenson trying to figure out the best way to help folks with their paperwork. It’s not a fancy place, just a regular office with some chairs and a water cooler that makes a loud noise sometimes. People walk in from the street needing advice on stuff they don't want to handle themselves. We spend a lot of time on the phone or typing things out on old keyboards. The traffic outside can get pretty loud during the evenings but we’re used to it by now. It’s mostly about getting the work done and making sure nothing gets missed in the files. We don’t have any big slogans or anything like that. We just come in, drink some tea, and get to work. Sometimes the printer jams and it takes ten minutes to fix, which is frustrating but that’s how it goes in a small office. We know the neighbors and the guy who sells snacks at the corner. It feels like a part of the community here. There’s always a stack of papers waiting on the desk every Monday morning. We try to keep things simple and honest. If someone asks a question we don’t know the answer to, we just say so and then go look it up. It’s a quiet life mostly, just doing advisory work and keeping the lights on.
