Public Health Nutrition And Development Centre

The Public Health Nutrition And Development Centre is based out of 234 Jahaz Apartment in Inder Enclave. This is in the Paschim Vihar area, right off Rohtak Road in New Delhi 110087. We chose to work out of this apartment because it gives us a quiet space to focus on our research and community projects. It does not feel like a typical sterile office at all. Instead, it has the vibe of a lived-in space where we keep our many books and nutrition records. We have a small team of people who are passionate about what they do, even if the office is just a few rooms with mismatched chairs. The traffic on Rohtak Road is usually quite loud and hectic, but once you get inside Jahaz Apartment, it settles down a bit. We spend our days looking over data and planning how to help with local development. Sometimes neighbors stop by just to say hello or ask what we are working on. We do not have any big signs or promotional banners. We prefer to keep things low-key and just focus on the work itself. Most of our furniture was bought second-hand, and the tea kettle is almost always on. It is an honest, local setup that works for us. We have been in this part of New Delhi for a long time and we like being part of the Inder Enclave community. It is a practical way to run a development center without all the corporate overhead.
