If you ever find yourself at the District Center in Janakpuri, we’re up on the eighth floor of Dda Building-2, room 807. It's a busy spot in West Delhi with people always coming and going. Pretext Construction has been running out of this office for some time now. We aren't a massive corporation with hundreds of employees; we’re just a dedicated crew that knows how to handle building projects. Most days involve looking over blue prints and talking to laborers over the noise of the city. We deal with the practical side of construction, the parts that actually require getting your hands dirty and making sure the foundations are solid. The office is usually a bit of a mess with blueprints rolled up in corners and samples of tiles or bricks sitting on the tables. It’s how we work. Being in a DDA building means we’re right in the middle of everything, which is handy for getting to different sites across the city. We don't have a PR department or anyone to write fancy speeches for us. We just tell it like it is. If a job is going to take three months, we say three months. There’s no point in making things sound better than they are. We’ve built a decent reputation just by showing up and doing the work that needs to be done. It’s a tough trade sometimes, especially with the Delhi heat, but we stay at it until the project finishes.
