Prasar Bharati

Our office is tucked away at 1/71 in Ramesh Nagar, which is a fairly central part of New Delhi. It’s a classic neighborhood where everyone seems to know where everything is. This Prasar Bharati branch has its own pace. We aren't right on the main noisy road, but you can still hear the city moving. The building itself is an older one, the kind where you know every squeak of the floor. Most of the day involves sitting at the desks, handling the various broadcasting matters that come through our doors. We get people stopping by asking for directions or sometimes people who have business with the corporation. The commute for the staff isn't too bad since the metro is close enough to walk. Inside, there are files everywhere and the smell of old paper is something you just get used to. We don't have any flashy lobby or a receptionist in a suit. It’s just us doing the work that needs doing. Sometimes we step out for a quick tea at the corner stall when things get a bit slow. Ramesh Nagar has changed a lot over the years but this spot stays pretty much the same. It’s a practical place to work, and we don’t try to make it seem like anything more than a busy office in a busy part of Delhi. It serves its purpose well enough for our daily routine.
