Perteek Engineering Works

Perteek Engineering Works is right in the middle of the Moti Nagar Industrial Area, at 6/2-7A near the Main Market. Being in an industrial area means it’s never really quiet. There is always the sound of machinery or trucks loading and unloading. Our shop is a bit dark inside, mostly because of the heavy equipment and the high ceilings. We have oil stains on the floor that have been there for years, and the workbench is scarred from all the projects we’ve handled. It’s a greasy, busy, and productive kind of place. We start early, usually before the market really gets going. The air smells like metal and machine oil. We have a small area in the back where we can sit down for a minute, but mostly we are on our feet. The tools are all organized in a way that only we understand. If someone else tried to find a specific wrench, they’d be lost for an hour. It’s a bit of a maze with the parts and the raw materials stacked up. We don’t go in for fancy signs or polished floors. People come to us because they know we are here and we’ve been here for a long time. It’s just how things are done in Moti Nagar. We finish up late, lock the heavy shutters, and do it all again the next morning without much fuss or complaint.
