Our place is located down at 3/284A on the Sulur Railway Feeder Road. It's out in Kurumbapalayam, which is a bit away from the main city buzz of Coimbatore. Being near the railway line means we hear the trains fairly often, and the road can get a bit dusty when the trucks pass by. Lakshmi Technology & Engg. Ind. Ltd. is basically an engineering workshop where we spend most of our hours. We have the machines running in the back and a small office area where we handle the technical drawings and the billing. It’s not a shiny glass building like you see in the big tech parks. It is a functional space built for actual labor and fixing things. Most of the staff here have been with us for years, so we all know how the machines sound when they are working right. We don't spend much time on fancy presentations. Instead, we are usually looking at parts or talking to the guys on the floor about a specific job. Muthugoundenpuder is a quiet enough area, and we like being tucked away here where we can just focus on the engineering tasks at hand. It gets hot in the afternoons, and the fans are always going, but the work moves along steadily. We just show up, do the engineering work required, and head home when the sun goes down. It is a simple way of life for us.
