We spend most of our time looking for people to fill jobs for different companies. The phones are almost always ringing, and there’s usually someone typing away at a keyboard or looking through a pile of resumes. It’s not a fancy corporate headquarters; it’s more of a functional office where we get the real work of recruitment done. We have a few small cabins for interviews and a main area where the rest of us sit. Delhi can be pretty loud and hectic, but once you’re inside, we just focus on the task. We deal with all sorts of industries and candidates from all over. The local market is close by, so there’s always a place to grab a quick lunch or a tea when we need a break from the screens. We don’t use a lot of big words to describe what we do. We just find out what a company needs and then we try to find the person who fits. It’s a lot of searching and a lot of talking on the phone. Some days are longer than others, especially when we have a lot of roles to fill, but that’s just how it goes here in the middle of Janak Puri.
