Asalatpur is a crowded area, and we are right in the middle of it in Janakpuri A3. Our office is in building WZ 37 on the second floor. The stairs are a bit narrow and steep, so you have to watch your step coming up. Delhi life is always fast and loud, but we just deal with insurance papers all day in our small space. It's definitely not a glamorous place to work. The desks are a bit crowded with monitors and piles of folders. Sometimes we eat our lunch together at the main table if it's not covered in forms. The street outside is noisy with rickshaws and people shouting, which you can hear even through the glass. We've been in this specific building for some time now. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we don't really mind. It's a functional space that gets the job done. We see a lot of people from the nearby colony walking in. Most of them are just looking for some help with their insurance policies or need to update their details. We try to be as helpful as we can without making things too complicated. It’s just a regular job for us. We show up early, do the filing for Icici Prudential Life Insurance Co Ltd, and head home when the sun goes down. Janakpuri is a bit of a maze, but WZ 37 is easy enough to find. We have a tiny pantry for coffee and tea. It's a real neighborhood office.
