We’ve been here at the Subhash Nagar spot for a while now. It’s on the first floor, right there in the middle of everything. Mostly we just come in, get our coffee from the stall downstairs, and head up to start the computers. The stairs are a bit narrow, so you have to watch your step when you’re carrying a laptop bag or some files. It gets pretty loud outside during the day with all the traffic and people shouting, but once the windows are shut, it’s mostly quiet enough to get things done. We don’t have any fancy signs or a big lobby. It’s just an office where we sit and work through the lists we get. Sometimes the power goes out for a minute and we all just wait for the generator to kick in. The desk chairs are okay, though some of them squeak a bit when you lean back too far. We mostly keep to ourselves and focus on the screens. If you walk past the building, you might not even realize there’s a whole team here at Ibm India Pvt Ltd working away. It’s a busy neighborhood and we’re just part of the daily bustle. We usually order lunch from the place around the corner because they make good parathas. It’s not a glamorous setup, just a practical place to spend the workday and make sure everything is ticking along like it should. We try to leave on time because the metro gets really packed after five.
