You’ll find us at H No 4A Pratap Encl in Mohan, Uttar Pradesh. Hdfc Bank Ltd is tucked away here, and it’s a pretty basic setup. We aren't a massive office with hundreds of people. It’s just a handful of us working at our desks. The floors are tile and the walls are mostly bare, except for some notices we have to pin up. We spend a lot of time on the phone or typing away at the keyboard. It’s a lot of data entry and checking signatures. Sometimes we run out of toner for the printer and have to scramble to find more. It’s those little daily hurdles that keep us on our toes. We don't have a mission statement on the wall or anything like that. We just come in, handle the cash, process the loans, and make sure the numbers are correct. It’s steady work. The neighborhood is fairly quiet, which we appreciate. We try to be helpful when someone comes in with a problem, but we don't use any fancy scripts. We just talk like normal people. If the line is long, we feel bad, but we work as fast as the old computers allow. It’s a simple operation for simple needs. We’re just here doing the daily routine in Pratap Encl, making sure the ledgers are right before we head home for the evening.
