General Leather House

You can find us at 36 Sarbati Market in Paschim Vihar. It’s a decent-sized place, but we fill it up pretty quickly with all the leather goods we have. General Leather House isn't some high-end boutique with bright lights and fancy music. It smells like real leather in here, which some people love and others find a bit strong. We spend our days dealing with different textures and colors. Sometimes the shop is a mess of samples and half-finished pieces, especially when we’re trying to sort through new stock. Sarbati Market has its own rhythm. We’ve seen other shops come and go, but we just keep doing our thing here. It’s honest work. We spend a lot of time explaining the difference between different hides to anyone who walks in, though we aren't trying to sell them on anything specific. We just tell them what’s what. The floor is usually covered in little bits of thread and leather scraps. We try to sweep up every evening, but it’s back again by noon the next day. It’s a bit of a repetitive life, but we like the routine. We know the other shopkeepers around here. We help each other out when someone needs change or a hand moving something heavy. It’s a simple way to run a business, and it works for us.
