Our office is located at B 2D in the MIG Flats in New Delhi. This is in the 110064 area code. Working out of an MIG flat gives the whole place a very lived-in and local feel. It’s not like those sterile office parks you see in other parts of the city. We have rooms that have been converted into working spaces, with desks fit into the corners and shelves lined with thick binders. The neighborhood is full of trees and people going about their daily lives, which is a nice view from our windows. We often hear the sounds of the colony—kids playing or people calling out to each other. It makes the workday feel a bit less like a grind. We have a small kitchen area where we make tea several times a day. The wiring is a bit messy behind the desks, but we know where everything goes. We don't have a fancy reception area; people usually just knock and come right in. The floors are easy to clean, which is good because Delhi dust gets everywhere. We stay busy with our spreadsheets and client files from morning until evening. It’s a comfortable spot that suits the way we work. We’ve been in this flat for a long time, and it has become a second home to many of us. We just focus on doing our jobs.
