You can find us at BL-12 on the upper ground floor in Hari Nagar. It’s a pretty typical New Delhi neighborhood, and we’ve been here at Dc Thekedaar for a while now. The "Thekedaar" part of our name really says it all—we are contractors. We spend our time managing builds and making sure things get done. Our office isn't anything you'd see in a magazine. It’s got desks, some old chairs, and a lot of folders. We don't spend money on fancy things because we’d rather just get the work finished. Some days it’s just one person here answering the phone while the rest of us are out at various sites. That’s just the nature of contracting. We deal with the usual headaches like late deliveries and weather delays. We don't try to sugarcoat it; construction is messy and hard. But we’ve been doing it long enough that we don’t get surprised much anymore. People in Hari Nagar know us as the local guys who handle the building stuff. We aren't trying to be some massive corporation. We just want to do a decent job and move on to the next one. It’s a lot of long hours and sometimes working weekends, but that’s what it takes.
