I started D J Beats at Shop No-B-100 right near Holi Child School in Tagore Garden because I always liked music and the gear that goes with it. It’s a small place but we keep busy. Most days involve checking cables or making sure the speakers aren’t rattling when the bass hits hard. It’s not a fancy office, just a shop where things get done. People from around the neighborhood drop by, sometimes just to ask about a sound system for a small house party or a wedding. I’ve spent a lot of time figuring out which wires go where and how to make a room sound okay even if the acoustics are terrible. It’s a lot of lugging heavy boxes around and hoping the rain doesn’t start when we’re loading the van. My hands are usually a bit dusty from the equipment cases. Tagore Garden is a busy spot, so there’s always noise outside, but we’re used to it. We don't have some big corporate plan. We just show up, set up the music, and try to make sure nothing breaks mid-song. Sometimes the lights flicker or a mic stops working, and you just have to fix it right there on the spot. It's honest work, even if it's loud. The shop is easy to find if you know the school area. We've been here a while now, just keeping the rhythm going for whoever needs it.
