Concept Kitchen

At Concept Kitchen, we are located at B 1/11 in Paschim Vihar. Our place isn't like those massive stores you see in malls. We have a few kitchen setups on display so people can see the different types of cabinets and drawers we work with. The shop is usually a bit quiet, which gives us time to look over drawings and measurements. We have samples of wood and laminate stacked up in the corner for people to touch and feel. Sometimes the samples get a bit dusty if they haven't been moved in a while. We spend a lot of our day talking to people about where their stove should go or how much storage they need. We don't have a big team of designers; it’s just us and our tools. The floor is covered in tiles that we try to keep clean, but people bring in a lot of dirt from the street. We keep a big water cooler in the back for when it gets hot. The desk is always covered in scraps of paper with scribbled notes and dimensions. We don't use any fancy software most of the time, just a pencil and a ruler to figure things out for the kitchens we are building. It’s a steady kind of job. People from the nearby blocks come in when they are thinking of fixing up their homes. We just show them what we have and explain how the different hinges and handles work for them.
