Our base is over in Kirti Nagar at I 13. Being in New Delhi, especially around 110015, means there is always noise and movement outside. The Centre For Agriculture Rural Development operates from this spot, and it’s a pretty functional space. It’s mostly just shelves full of reports and a few computers that have seen better days. We spend a lot of time looking at maps and talking about rural projects. It isn't a glossy corporate headquarters. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the chairs are the kind that creak when you sit down. But the work gets done. We handle things related to agriculture and how things are going in the villages, even though we are stuck here in the city. People come in and out, usually carrying heavy bags or stacks of papers. Kirti Nagar is known for furniture, but we’re just here in our corner doing our thing. Lunch usually involves someone going out to get street food or bringing something from home to share. We don't have a big HR department or a PR team. It’s just a handful of us trying to keep the projects on track. The heat in Delhi can get a bit much in the summer, so the old AC unit gets a real workout. We’ve got a routine down, and it works for us. It’s a bit messy, a bit loud, but it’s our workplace.
