Balaji Organics

Down here in West Punjabi Bagh, specifically at 2/75, we run Balaji Organics. It is a quiet enough spot compared to the main markets nearby. We deal with organic products, mostly keeping things in stock that people in the neighborhood or further out might need. The space is filled with bags and containers. It smells mostly of grain and dried herbs depending on what we just opened. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of workers. It is just a few of us making sure everything is stored right and stays fresh. We spend a lot of our morning checking the shipments that arrive from the farms or wholesalers. It gets a bit cramped when a big load comes in, and we have to move stuff around to make it fit. The floor is usually covered in some bit of dust or packing material, but that’s just part of the job. People call us up to ask if we have certain things in stock, and we go check the shelves. It’s a simple routine. We don't do much advertising; people usually find us because they live nearby or someone told them where we are. We have a small desk for the paperwork which always seems to pile up faster than we can clear it. On hot days, the fan just moves the warm air around, but we keep going. It’s just a regular workplace doing regular things. We just sell what we have on the shelves.
