Bablu Unisex Saloon

Working on Main Raja Puri Road is never quiet. There is always a horn honking or someone shouting outside near Vishwas Park. Our shop is Rz-21, right in the middle of all that noise. We called it Bablu Unisex Saloon because we started seeing that both men and women in Uttam Nagar needed a place that wasn't too formal. It’s just a regular shop where you can get your hair done without a lot of fuss. We have a few different sections inside to make sure everyone feels okay while they wait. The floor is usually covered in some amount of hair because we stay pretty busy from morning till night. I try to keep the mirrors clean, but with the humidity, they fog up sometimes. It’s a lot of work keeping up with the crowds on the weekends. Sometimes the power goes out and we just have to open the doors wider to let the sunlight in. No one seems to mind much. We’ve grown used to the rhythm of this street. My cousins help out when it gets really packed. We aren’t trying to be like those big places in the malls. This is just a local spot for people who live around Raja Puri and need to get their hair sorted. It’s a bit messy and loud, but it’s home to us and we’ve been here for years.
