A S Engineering Works

Over here in Khyala Phase II at Manohar Nagar 66/7, it stays pretty loud most of the day. We deal with metal and machines, so the noise is just part of the job. It’s a workspace where things get fixed and built. There is usually a bit of grease on the floor and tools scattered around the benches. We’ve got some old equipment that still runs better than the new stuff. Most of the work involves welding or turning parts on the lathe. It isn’t the cleanest place to spend ten hours a day, but we get the work done. The heat gets to you in the summer, especially with the machines running, but we have a big fan that helps a bit. People from the nearby shops often drop by to borrow a tool or ask for a quick weld on a broken bracket. We don’t spend much time on paperwork or computer stuff. It’s more about using your hands and figuring out how to make a part fit right. The air smells like oil and burnt iron most of the time. We take our tea breaks standing up usually. It’s a practical kind of life. We’ve been at this specific address for years and everyone around here knows where to find us when something heavy breaks. It's just a regular workshop doing regular things for the local folks at A S Engineering Works.
