Ujjawal Masale

Ujjawal Masale is based in Ward No. 1 of Nanfarwa Village. We are located in Patahi Tehsil, which is part of the Purbi Champaran District. Being in a village means things move a bit slower than in the city. Our workspace is part of our home area. We don't have big industrial machines, just some smaller ones that we use to grind the spices. Most of the people working here are family or neighbors from Nanfarwa. We spend a lot of time outside when the sun is out, drying the chilies and turmeric on large mats. It’s a very manual process. We don't have a big marketing budget or any fancy flyers. Word usually just spreads from person to person in the district. We know the farmers around here because we buy a lot of our raw materials from them directly. It’s a simple life. We wake up early, start the grinding, and spend the afternoon packing. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to wait, but that’s just how it is in the village. We take pride in just doing things the way we were taught. There aren't any hidden tricks or big secrets. We just take the spices and turn them into powder.
