We are based out of Ward No- 4 in the village of Bettiah, which is part of the Sikta Taluka. If you know the area, we are quite close to the Shiv Mandir. You can usually hear the bells from the temple in the mornings and evenings when they do the prayers. This is a trading business, so our days are mostly spent dealing with goods coming in and going out on trucks or carts. It gets quite dusty here, especially during the dry season when the wind picks up across the village roads. The office is just a small room with a wooden table and a few chairs for visitors. We keep our ledgers there and try to stay organized, though papers sometimes pile up when things get hectic. Most of our customers are locals from around the village or from nearby parts of Sikta. We’ve known some of them for years. It’s not a fast-paced environment like you’d find in a big city, but there is always something that needs to be moved or counted. Sometimes the rain makes the roads a bit difficult, but we manage to keep things moving. We don't have a website or anything like that; we just rely on people knowing where we are and what we do. It’s a simple operation, really. We just try to be fair with everyone who walks through our door near the temple.
