Our rice mill is situated in Chauradano, which is in the East Champaran district. We are very close to the Post Office, so everyone in the local area knows exactly where to find us. It’s a rural spot, and you can hear the machines running from a distance when we are busy milling the grain. Mangaldeep Rice Mill Pvt. Ltd. sounds like a big name, but we are just a local operation deep in the countryside. We work with the crops that come in from the surrounding fields. It’s seasonal work in a way, with some times of the year being much busier than others. We don't have a fancy corporate office or a team of people in suits. It’s mostly just us in our work clothes, getting dusty and making sure the rice is processed right. The post office is our main landmark, and it’s where we see most of our neighbors. We don't really have a mission or a fancy philosophy. We just know how to run the mill and we’ve been doing it here in Chauradano for a long time. People around East Champaran know us by now, so we don’t need to do much talking. We just let the work speak for itself. It’s a lot of long hours when the harvest is in, but that’s just the way it goes. We’re just glad to be a part of this community and doing our part. Anyway, that is us.
