Manakkal Agrifarm Private Limited

Down in Vellaramkunnu, that’s where you’ll find Manakkal Agrifarm. We’re based right at Manakkal in the Kalpetta area. It’s a beautiful part of the world, but farming is still hard work. This wasn't started as a way to get rich. We just had some land and wanted to do something useful with it. Most days start pretty early before the sun gets too hot to work comfortably. We deal with the typical stuff you’d expect from a farm here. There’s always a fence to fix or a tractor that won’t start right when you need it. A few people from the village help us out. It’s a small team, really. We grow what works best in this specific soil. Sometimes the rain is too much and sometimes there isn't enough, but that’s just life in Kalpetta. We’re not some big corporate farm with a glossy brochure. We’re just local people. If you come by, you’ll probably see us covered in dirt or busy working in the sheds. We keep things very simple. The address is just the house and the land around it. It’s a quiet life mostly. Our focus stays on the crops and making sure the farm stays running. It’s been in the family for a bit, and we turned it into this private limited company to keep things organized. It’s just home and work all mixed into one big plot of land.
