Sai Sales

If you find yourself near the Datta Mandir in Mahadevpura you will probably see our place. Sai Sales is right in the middle of the Main Market area in Ward No-7. It is usually quite loud outside with all the people walking to the temple and the vendors shouting out their prices. Our shop is tucked in there among the other stores. We have a lot of different things piled up inside so you have to watch your step when you come in. There isn't a big staff just a couple of us who know where everything is kept on the high shelves. We open up early because the market starts moving before the sun is even fully up. Dealing with the suppliers takes up a lot of our time in the afternoons. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit outside on the stools until it comes back on. That’s just life in this part of town. Most of the regulars come in for a chat while they are looking for what they need. Writing things down and giving a paper receipt is how we handle the sales. It gets the job done without too much fuss. Every day is pretty much the same but we like the routine. We stay until the last customer leaves and then lock up for the night. It has been that way in Majhaw Pura for years.
