Vijaya Farms

We are located out in Muthojipet, which is a small area near Narsampet in Warangal. Vijaya Farms is basically just our family land and the daily work we put into the soil. It involves a lot of walking through the fields to check on how the crops are growing. Depending on what month it is, we are either busy planting seeds or trying to get the harvest in before the weather turns. Both jobs are exhausting. The sun gets very hot in this part of Warangal, so we usually start our work at dawn to get the hardest parts done early. Our house is right here at H. No -Muthojipet, so we are never really away from the farm. It is a quiet existence, mostly just the sound of the wind in the trees and the birds. We do not have any big expensive machinery, just some basic tools that we have used for many years. Sometimes the monsoon rains do not come when we need them, and we have to figure out how to keep everything alive. It is a lot of worrying about things that we cannot really control, like the bugs or the prices at the market. We just keep going because this is the life we know. It is not a corporate business, it is just us working the ground. We take what we grow to the local markets to sell. It is a hard way to live but it is honest.
