We run our travels business from our house, number 1-56/1, in the village of Thidugu, near Sagaram in Jaffergadh. It’s a small family-run thing where we have a couple of cars that we use to help people get around. Living out here means we know all the local roads and the best ways to get to the city or the nearby towns. Most of our work comes from neighbors who need a ride for a wedding, a hospital visit, or just to get to the train station. We don't have a big office with a front desk; we just manage everything from our living room with a mobile phone and a diary. The cars are parked right outside in the shade when they aren't on the road. I spend a lot of my time washing the dust off the vehicles and checking the oil to make sure everything is running okay. The roads can be pretty rough around here, especially after the rains, so maintenance is a big job. It’s often long hours, sometimes starting very early in the morning or driving late into the night. We aren't a big company with a fleet of hundreds of cars, just a few reliable ones and ourselves. It’s how we make our living here in Thidugu, and we’ve been doing it for quite a while now. Most people around Sagaram have our number saved for when they need to travel.
