Soundarya Creations

Reddy Colony in Hanmakonda is a busy place, and that is where Soundarya Creations has been for years. Our shop is at 3-11-58. It’s a nice enough spot, though parking can be a bit of a headache on some days. We do a lot of manual work here, mostly stuff that involves being creative with our hands. The shop isn't very large, so things can get a bit cluttered with materials and finished bits. We’ve been in Hanmakonda for quite some time. Most of the neighbors know us by name. We don't really do much advertising; people just walk in or hear about us from someone else in the colony. The light in the shop is best in the morning, so that’s when we do the detailed work. By the afternoon, it gets a bit dim, so we put the overhead lights on and keep going. There is usually some music playing on a small radio in the corner to keep us company. We have shelves full of different things we’ve made over the months. Sometimes we look at them and remember the day we put them together. It’s a slow process, making things. You can't really rush it or it won't turn out right. We use simple tools and a lot of patience. If you’re ever near Reddy Colony, you might see us through the window. We are usually hunched over a table working on something new. We just keep our heads down and finish the tasks we started today.
