Shravan Handlooms

Shravan Handlooms is located in the Kotha Wada area, right near the Markandaiah Temple. It is a very old part of the neighborhood and everyone knows the temple, so finding us is never too hard. Our building is House No. 11-30-108. It is a practical space where we keep all our hand-woven items. The air inside always smells a bit like cotton and thread. We don't have any big display windows or bright neon signs. We just have our work and the shelves where we store the finished pieces. A lot of the locals stop by just to say hello or check what new patterns we have. We spend many hours sitting and checking the quality of the cloth. Sometimes we have tea delivered from the stall down the street while we work. The floors are a bit uneven and the walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but it works for what we do. We like the pace of things here in Kotha Wada. It feels like a real community where people still appreciate things made by hand. When the temple has a festival, the whole street gets crowded and we usually stay open late. It is just a small, honest shop where we do our daily tasks without much fuss. We’ve been here long enough that the building feels like a second home to us.
