Sambaiah Farms

Sambaiah Farms is situated at house number 1-27 in Dasaripally. It is a bit of a walk from the main road in Warangal, but that’s fine by me. Most of my days are spent out in the open air, which is better than being stuck inside. I’ve got some cows that need milking and the fields always need weeding. The dirt gets under your fingernails and never really comes out, but that’s just part of the job. I remember when this whole area was a lot quieter, but things change. My house is small but it serves its purpose for storing what we harvest. Dasaripally is a good community where everyone knows who you are. We don't have any big machinery that works perfectly, so there is always a bit of grease and oil on my clothes from trying to fix the old engine. The weather is the main thing we worry about. If the rain doesn’t come, we are in trouble, and if it comes too much, it’s also trouble. You just learn to take it as it comes. I keep a few chickens too, mostly just for ourselves. People stop by sometimes to chat or trade some supplies. It is a practical life, focused on the ground beneath our feet. I’ve been at 1-27 for as long as I can remember, and I don't see myself going anywhere else. Just a man and his land, trying to keep things growing.
